Romeo is a real hunter… his best companion is Pio-Pio

Romeo has a free-spirited, hunting instinct. During the day, he has his "crazy" hours, when he runs around the house like a madman, a kind of tornado that seems about to break something at any moment... but he doesn't. He's very well-behaved, and above all, very sensitive to me and the home's furnishings. Although accidents can happen from time to time, it's always to be expected, even if he's very good. I do my best to provide him with the necessary stimulation that allows him to express himself so he doesn't have to find it himself by involving furniture and ornaments.

Seeing him act crazy sometimes makes me think: “Here, now he’s going to destroy my house”… and immediately after I think: “Oh yeah, who cares… let him play, that’s his way of doing things and he’s extremely nice”.
With that kind of conscious indifference, I'm willing to sacrifice something just to make him feel good and see him have fun.

He needs lots of activity, and especially stimulation. So much so that he's very curious, and there's no activity I do that he doesn't participate in. Aside from the usual things he's already familiar with—and then he allows himself his nap time.

To be truly calm, Romeo needs 40-50 minutes of active play a day. I'm talking about real stimulation: physical activity like hunting, chasing, attacking his "prey," and physical play like biting and kicking. Added to this are the classic 30 minutes of running, where he plays tag alone or with his human parents, running from one side of the house to the other.

With Pio Pio, I've noticed that he starts playing with it in the morning, for 3-5 minutes each time. Then he leaves it, comes back for 5 minutes, later in the afternoon, and again in the evening for another 5 minutes. And then yes... (I know, 😱) At night, if he's in the mood, he plays with it for a good 8 minutes, turning the living room into the main set of an action movie. (In fact, Pio Pio even has an off button... thank goodness!)
If he made too much noise the night before, the next day we try to keep him more active during the day, so that maybe at night… he sleeps!

If math isn't an opinion... 5 minutes, 4-5 times a day, equals 20-25 minutes. Adding playtime with us and free play, Romeo gets the minimum 30 minutes of activity and stimulation every cat needs to stay healthy. And he knows it well: since we care deeply about his coolness, he stays fit!

Life is often hectic, and as much as we'd like to, we can't always play with our cat as we'd like. But that doesn't mean we can't offer them something extra.
With Pio Pio, the cat has company and stimulation even when we're not there. And then, when the time comes to dedicate ourselves to him, we do so with the sincerity of those who truly love playing together.

Because the bond with our cat is the most important thing, being attentive to their needs and offering them the right tools to make them feel good is essential. Every shared moment is worth gold 💛🐾

Another fundamental thing for the well-being of the cat is hydration... we will talk about this in the next blog... See you soon Cat Lovers ♥️
